Fresh off the boat, my passion for film beamed me straight into my Hollywood debut:
the film version of Isabel Allende's novel Of Love and Shadows as brother of Antonio Banderas with Jennifer Connelly directed by Betty Kaplan.
My second film in the US was Mira Nair's romantic comedy The Perez Family
with Anjelica Huston and Marisa Tomei.
Most recently I worked in the German film Wunderschön, directed by Karoline Herfurth and produced by Warner Bros Germany - still awaiting a release date on that!
The Indie film Black Wedding by Tom Bohn - in which I played the lead - won the BEST COMEDY AWARD and got me a BEST MALE LEAD nomination at the Sydney Indie Film Festival in 2015!
My very first lead in a feature film was in the critically acclaimed film Schattenboxer by German director Lars Becker when I was a baby back in 1992.
For television I completed 2 seasons of the international action series Largo Winch filmed between Montreal and Paris - which was sold to 40+ Countries - and one season in the German TV Series Delta Team for PRO7.
A graduate of the Academy For Music And Dramatic Arts in Hamburg/Germany, I have had starring roles in various productions for German TV as well as in TV movies for major networks in the US - however, my training ground for my acting adventures was my time as a member of Hamburg's National Theater under the artistic direction of renowned directors Peter Zadek and Michael Bogdanov.
